A Beautiful Shaker

This time of year is what my family calls “Birthday Season”.
So many birthdays. All happening right now. And, because of that, it’s also what we like to call “Poor Season” Lol. Happily, that means I have tons of great cards to make.
So brace yourself…It begins now!
Before I had any experience with shaker cards, I considered them to be silly. Well, that was ridiculous. haha It turns out that I love shaker cards! It’s literally like getting a toy in the mail!!
This card is a non-traditional birthday card for my amazing daughter-in-law. I wanted to make sure she got something that made her feel special, because she is.
I used thin strips of solid cardstock to create a playful, rainbow background. I Loved this part! I trimmed them to a 1/4 inch width so that I could fit a lot on the panel.
Then I used the Bold Beautiful die from My Favorite Things to create a shaker panel. I just backed it with a piece of acetate and popped it up with foam tape. It worked perfectly.
For the inside, I used some of the leftover scraps to create a fun pattern off to the side. Love it.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are inspired and Have a great day!
