Black Velvet Mandalas

Today’s project was inspired by a new mandala die set I bought recently. It has beautiful layers that you can mix and match. The possibilities are endless!
I decided to work on this scripted handmade paper. It’s so heavy and textured… and I can’t seem to get enough of it. To enhance it, I cut the mandala pieces from a black velvet paper. It’s so soft and feels luxurious. It added the perfect texture to my card.

In order to work with such an intricate die cut, I needed to get creative with my adhesive. I used a lightly damp paper towel and added liquid glue to it. Then I dabbled the glue on the back of each die cut and put them in place. It worked great.

For my sentiment, I stacked three black love words and one gold glittery one for the top. The dimension was definitely needed to keep it from getting lost in my beautiful background.

To finish my card, I added some more of the black velvet mandala pieces for an accent. It’s beautiful and still allows room for a message. This card feels super fancy when I hold it….I’m not sure I can give it away! LOL
Have a great week everyone. Thanks for stopping by!
